Angry Chef
Eric’s been playing with food all his life, and Ben & Jerry’s has been paying him do just that since 1996. Known around headquarters as the “Angry Chef” (he’s the happiest angry chef we’ve ever met, though…), Eric had a hand in concocting Coconut Seven Layer Bar, Chocolate Therapy, the Cores line, and other flavours you’ve definitely had your spoon in over the years. (Of course, not every swing has resulted in a home run. Some of his creations are now resting eternally in the flavour Graveyard, including the dearly departed Peanuts! Popcorn!, Fossil Fuel, and Dublin Mudslide). He has a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales, keeps chickens at home, loves experimenting with new ingredients and exploring flavour trends, and before joining us he worked for Rhino Foods, our BFF—they’re the ones who, literally, put the dough in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Eric’s favorite current flavours are Phish Food, Salted Caramel Core, and Coconut Seven Layer Bar. But the one he loves the most is always the one he’s working on right now.
